Endodontic Surgery
Going beyond root canals.
Apicoectomy, root-end resection and more.
There are a number of reasons why we may recommend endodontic surgery. In some cases, we may need to look for problems that may not show up on an x-ray and provide treatment.
In this procedure, we’ll open the gum near the root, remove the damaged portion and any inflamed or infected tissue. Typically, the root is then filled, the gum area sutured, and the area allowed to heal.
Other possible procedures include dividing a tooth in half, repairing an injured root, or even removing one or more roots.
Regardless of procedure, your Premier endodontist will thoroughly explain your course of treatment to you, and answer your questions about why it is the best option to preserve your dental health.
